Replacing Lash Adjusters.

Hey guys,

Full service done today along with full underseal on my evo 6 (Got everything delivered from opie oils, forgot to order the AYC oil tho :wtf Anyway will be doing that and the spark plugs tomorrow when they come.

Anyone know an easier way to fill the AYC as it looks a real pain in the As*?

I normally use a tube and suction and blow it in but think it will be a struggle on the AYC.

When i bought the car it had a ticking coming from the engine (id looked into it and seen lash adjusters was common for clogging up and should be replaced for 3mm ones),Anyway i will be doing this tomorrow and possibly just do the timing belt aswell. Anything to watch out for while im in there?

ayc is a ucking pain.....

lash adjusters are quiet straight forward, not hard at all there is a very good video on youtube that hits the nail on the head with using a screwdriver its what i watched and i had mine done start to finish in just over an hour

yh loverly job lol. i did mine when the engine was out the car and there is a lot to remove to get to the belt i just cant imagine how someone does it in the car

Lol ok I will let you know how it goes or doesn't go then lol didn't think it looked too bad but nothing ever does till you do it.

Lash adjusters done yesterday no problems and she is a lot quieter now. Didnt get timing belt done as i ran out of time (Looks a bit of a pain and would need a few hours at it).

AYC diff oil and plugs today then testing the AYC system to see why there is no light on

Yea I think Mitsi give it as being a 5 hr job. My first one took me 12hrs without a clue what I was doing lol.

It's a bit of a nightmare job really. Lots of parts to remove to get in there and alot of swapping between working from the top then the bottom then from the top then from the bottom then from the top. Yea you get the picture lol
