Rear transfer box problem

Hi all. Before I get annihilated for asking an answered questions, please bear in mind that A: I've tried researching but haven't found an exact answer. B: I'm new to posting and C: this is my first evo. I was driving down a busy A-road and my rear transfer box decided to blow up. I do my own mechanics but I am not a qualified mechanic so the thought of replacing the box is a little daunting. My questions are, can I use any other evo gsr box? And do I have to remove the rear hubs/shafts assemblies to remove the transfer? Or is there a way of just disconnecting them? I used up all my cash buying the evo so unfortunately taking the car to a mechanical is out of the question
