im not 2 worried but i thought i would ask anyway,
the e6 that i have recently purchased i was told it has a paddle clutch, not sure which one or how many paddles.
but it sounds alwful when pulling away. a loud creeky noise. now it doesnt slip at all and its very brutal, it sometimes shudders badly if you dont pull away right.
its 100 % not a release bearing noise and like i said it bites hard, i just would like to no if the noise is normal as ive never had a car with a paddle clutch before and cant be 100 %
cheers :hm:

It is normal buddy and there are variations to what type of chatter is emitted depending on which clutch it is.

Mine is the same mate thats normal for a paddle if it's really aggressive u might have a 4 paddle as they are pretty brutal

The oem is good but look at a helix as they are good for the money ;)

Tom has a good point, the Helix Kit is a hell of a lot better and is more capable compared to the Stock/Exedy Clutch but you will have to pay extra for the privilege.

I will get you some prices together if you want, it would be a good idea to PM Jamie too as he has offers on clutches all year round.

I had a helix organic in my VII running 450/400 no problem at all.
They say they will take 450lb of torque too

If your running a standard engine and no plans to forge it and run bigger power then maybe a stock clutch would be fine. Mate of mine was running 400/400 on his standard clutch in his IX :)
