I work for my dad in a hgv and tanker service and repair garage.
Now our labour rates havnt changed for a few years now where everyone else's have increased.
Now our prob is that we have no way of finding out what labour rates are in main dealers and other workshops, we have done the usual ringing and 'enquiring' and they catch on straight away and give us dudd prices or say we will call back.
We cantask any of our customers what they payin other garages because they straight away think 'they putting their prices up, I better say something low'

So are there any people on here that work for the likes of daf, scania, Volvo, ford ect and do youknow whatthe general rates out there are.
Any help will be gratefully received.

Cheers guys. Yh we have a customer that's on 30ph but the most we charge is 50ph so for what we offer service wise like diagnostics ect it's ok overheads, and our prices have stayed the same for too long, a simple man in a van offers his services for 30ph and can't and doesn't complete the jobs as well and efficient as us.
