Hi all,
Have a problem with an EVO 5 here.
This car is originally Japanese, so was running in KM's originally. When imported to the UK, it was converted to miles, and now runs in miles.
However, for Europe, i want it back in KM's.
Removing the speedo gives the below images:
This is how it looks like when removed. Blue on the left (right behind the revclock and brown top middle, right above speedometer)
The blue plug has the blue wire cut trough (does not seem original to me),and welded together to a cable, holding three wires, red, brown and blue. Here, these three are welded together and connected to the blue wire coming from the original plus wich goes in to the back of the speedo, situated right behind the rev counter.
Please not, i have tried to disconect the blue cable wich is cut, to the original blue cable wich is still in the loom, and disconected the 3 welded cables, but, this had no effect, stil running miles. It also was behind the rev counter as told.
This is the brown plug, situated behind the back of the speedometer. I can not see any signs of cutting or welding, seems to be original.
Can anyone help me what to do? Is this original layout, or should i do something with the 3 cables wich were welded?
Also, have checked my gearbox speedconnection. There is just a blue plug in in with 2 cables, seems also original to me, so thats why i looked in the odometer.
Hope somebody can help me!
