After posting some pictures of a rocker cover done i had recieved intrest of one particular person.
This Person then arranged with me to get one done to his own design, and getting quite excited about it.
unfortunatly after tough times his hours at work wer cut this was no longer a priority.
After more more emails i found that he had really wanted this, times are tuff i thort and il see what i can do for him
So i recieved the cover in to be honest, a worse than wear state than i would have thort :hm:
I decided from the characteristics i had learnt. that smoothing the cover would give an affect the owner would admire
as the cover had been sprayed twice previously, we decided we wanted to take the cover back to original state, to make sure there were no contaminats.
Further to this we needed a smooth base to paint on so upon removing the acid we gave it a flick ove
Building the platform before two layers of paint, we used a primer that helps adhesion
then taking the wanted designs into consideration we applied what would be the detail colour :thinking:
The owner had talked about the mitsi logo, and we thought that it would really set it off, with an old scool pinstripe :disgusted:
Applying the choosen base colour in light dust coats
To reveal
carrying on we then applied our stamp 'paint perfection' but in this time the intials Fs :whistling:
Anyhow deciding we did not want this to be a centre point we decided we would merg it into the base colour
Finally to really set her off we finished her off with a red pearl to match the theme of red and white in the engine bay and a deep gloss coat of clear :arms:
Just hope you are happy enough with it to take your mind of the times for a lil while
