Hi everyone. I ain't had my evo 8 for long and today when I drove it a cel code came on. Had it read and pulled out p0505. I've done some research and said that I have to clean it or get someone to reset it via evoscan. My question is, is there anyone can help me please? I tried resetting it using my obd tools but came back on after a few drive....

Anyone can kindly help me or point me to a correct direction.

I have a evo 8 2005. (260 gsr) if it helps....

Well if you managed to clear it. Then it came back on. Do you think you actually have a fault??

You can base idle reset..
Disconnect battery
Reconnect battery
Let idle for 10min with no electrics
Let idle for further 10min with as many electrics running as possible
Only if you have erratic idle

If you still getting code come up then change part. Evoscan only resets codes

Test the isc ny measuring resistance across the 3 pairs of pins in the connector on the part itself, All resistances should be similar, id One is off( ie kilo ohms) then the isc is duff.
