Morning guys
Looking for some clarification on what oil guys are using and if they have seen any problems or plus points.
Car is an Evo6 with 400bhp, someone said a mod i should mention is the cams (piper fq400 spec) for some reason - im not very clued up mechanically.
I have had plenty of advice and now im stuck because im getting different advice of people who all do know what theyre talking about but the advice conflicts!
Opie oils who ive not heard a bad word of, most evo owners and forums seem to say use a good quality 5/40 fully synth.
The previous owner, a few people on the net and someone whos used evo's for track all his track career advises 10/50 ester synth (never heard of ester synth till this!).
BUT then a well known reputable tuner and a guy in work who has built time attack evo's and subaru's for a very long time says dont use anything other than 15/50 fully synth.
The only thing i can nail down is that they all reccomend Fuchs as their choice.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
Danny
