Does anyone know if the evo mk6 (1999) is OBD II compatible.....trying to check if my new turbogauge mk 3 is actually compatible with my car...or i've made a mistake!!

iirc the evo 6 is not obd2 compliant, the evo 7-9 are.

if you were to a fit a later ecu then it would become compliant.

is it just a case of swapping the ecu's over, or is it more involved...re-mapping etc..

I presume that there is a pin swap involved but Sponners is still here and will no doubt be with you shortly.

on your car you have the option of running a 7 ecu or a evo 8 260 ecu.

to fit these though will involve a few wires in the ecu loom to be cut/swopped.

...and idealy they will need to be remapped........even if its only to remove the CEL that the swop will cause.

Thanks for the input everyone.....probably easier to send back the device....a little bit gutting though as it looked a good bit of kit to interrogate the ECU with
