I also had a 2006 ST3, which i modded over 300 bhp, very nice ride. I part ex'd her for a 2008 Vectra Elite 150, this was due to having a young son. I kept the Vectra for 3 month then traded that for a 2001 Evo 7 GSR ( 280bhp ) it is a totally different drive, even though its a lower bhp than the focus it is so amazing, my advice is don't think just do it, or you will regret it for years.
Basically you need to service the Evo's every 4500 miles which costs £150 plus vat at your local Mitsu dealers and £500 plus vat for a major service which is roughly every year or so. The fuel it much better in the Evo as its only a 40ltr tank and does similar milage to my modded ST, i get between 150 and 200 miles to the tank, and every mile is a true thrill. Same tyre prices to what your used to, mine is on yokohama parada and cos they are only 17" instead of the St 18" they are £15 cheaper.
