just fitted my new filter, cone style. Went out for a drive and pretty sure i had boost cut, pulled over turn the boost down all seem's ok now, but i thinkin if the boost controller set's the boost surly it doesn't matter what filter's on there??any way sound's the nut's turbo chatter!:D will put a pic up in bit. Thank you!

Depends what it has been set to if you had a remap??

But could be around 1.3bar

thanks rob. I've never had it mapped not yet anyway. When i bought the ecu was told it was clean? It was set about 1.1 1.2 bar on the boost controller?

Its something to do with if you have a de-cat and an induction system something to do with peak airflow i was informed fitting an apexi FC sorted it mine would cut at just over 1.1 bar now running 1.2 no probs a re-map would sort yours

Re map required sir !

As you have changed the filter the airflow direction changes through the maf so it's probably picking up obscure readings. Also fiddling with boost levels without mapping is dodgy too, you don't want it running lean like mine did and look at the damage that caused

Boost controllers aren't super accurate. When people say "i was boosting 1.56 bar, but now 1.58!!!!?!E!@£@$!", atmospherics can change that, ie rain, pressure, wind etc. For example, higher boosts are difficult to stabalise and i'm running 2.2 bar, but i see it go to 2.4 at times and that's on a fully programmed AVCR.

Gooner - you're hitting cut because you have a free-er flowing inlet system. Just turn your boost controller down until you get it mapped and the cut removed.

as said with the engine breathing better you'll be getting higher loads, nothing a remap won't sort :)
