hey guys im new to this site so hy everyone the thing is im on teh look out to buying a evo 5 or 6 complete enging as me headgasket went and after fixing that seems more damage was done so they say its best to get a new second hand engine so if anyone out there knows where to get one i have checked e bay no luck give me a shout cheers wayne

stay clear of ebay mate, i was done for £1350!! i went to jap performance parts in the end. they were top people and got a great engine.

yueh i bought some stuff from them in the past didn know u could get a complete engine though

I got a vi engine for 1250 mate

i paid £1600 for complete v engine plus vi turbo last month.

hey m8 well just waiting on news from the garage one garage says i would be best of getting a new engine for it while the othere says to open it up see what it needs so god knows what im gonna do

It may well be that the correct torque setting were not applied when bolting the head to the bottom end. If that is the case then get an engine as the block will never be the same again.

I have a VI engine for £900.

If you do go for an engine then you will not go wrong if you buy the one that Steevo has. It is a nice price and will be coming from a nice guy.

well guys u was all right had to get a new lump as the garage i took to originaly for the head gasket to be replaced ripped me of that much that the garage its in now say they think no work was actually carried out on it so trading standards involved so wont be long till we have another evo back on the road where it belongs as for the garage its in belfast just in case u was all wondering

I am on a mission right now to name and shame, it is sickening what some grease monkeys will do to make money. Not to mention dodgy traders that I will be exposing over this week end too.
