After selling the tommi mak couple months ago and replacing it with a shogun sport and audi a3 3.2 quattro iv decided there not for me sold the shogun and audi will be on ebay later.
I went to Wales yesterday to look at an evo 8 FQ300 and purchased it.
SPEC
2003 mitsubishi evo 8 FQ300
black
61k miles belts changed at 48k
evo 9 alloys
cusco coilovers
symtec fuel pump
ecutec remap to 385bhp
decat
performance friction discs and pads all round
cusco 3 point strut brace with brake stopper
helex clutch
6 speed box
alpine tape head unit and 6 disc changer
alpine speakers
all usual evo 8 extras
The car handles and stops very well but coming from a range of mapped evos and recently a 370bhp tommi mak it doesnt feel anywhere near 385bhp, turbo doesnt come in til 3200rpm and doesnt kick you back like a mapped evo should.
This is going to be a project for me over next year or 2 to get it similar to my old 560bhp red evo 7.
Heres a pic of the new car when i got back yesterday afternoon.
thanks for looking.
