im not sure exactly, not even aware if it is anything special or just a black. it does have a greeny/blue and purple flake in it which can be seen in sunlight. ill have look an see if it has a name....

if your thinking of the colour your brave. its hard to maintain. have mine being clay bard end month. should be back to looking amaculate again. but is a great colour!

Clay bar alone won't make it immaculate, although it will make the paint feel smooth. Nice car by the way and fitted with some quality parts

i agree.....this is what it is having done... from G3 valetting

Our platinum detail is a step up again from our gold valet with the added benefits of engine bay detailing and a multiple stage cleaning process involving paint cleansers, and topped off with raceglaze 55 wax.

This is usually performed on prestige/sports and for show cars as the end product of this detail is much improved gloss in the final finish and the work is carried out to a very high standard indeed.

The vehicle is pre-foamed then washed, de-tarred, wiped down with isopropyl alchohol ,paintwork/glass fully clay barred wiped down again with , then a paint cleanser applied wiped down again with ipa, and wax applied, the usual dressings on plastics/rubbers/glass etc applied, engine bay cleaned thoroughly and dressed.

Is it going to be machine polished? As that list is it's a claybar which can put in microscratches and marr the paintwork, a rubdown with IPA only removes oils from the paintwork so fail to see how it will rid the holograms.

that i couldnt tell you...... i have very tiny scratches in it already if you look very closey...which is the whole reason im having this done, so i will be pissed if there still after matey has finished. what ever he does aslong as its a great finish at the end ill be happy.

that i couldnt tell you...... i have very tiny scratches in it already if you look very closey...which is the whole reason im having this done, so i will be pissed if there still after matey has finished. what ever he does aslong as its a great finish at the end ill be happy.

To remove scratches it will need machining, by the sound of the description what he will do is hide the scratches rather than remove them. It will look good until whatever he uses wears out ie poorboys blackhole, lime prime etc.
I had a look on his website and he is a detailer but your not getting a full correction, that is a 300 to £700 option:wtf: But like I say you eill probably like the finish but it won't be swirl free. As long as you are happy with the end product thats all that matters

Bit like my car then, shiny nice smooth paint but full of swirls.
