hi guys

just a quick one for the power fc djetro users .

im not saying do this but it works for me :O)

i recently found my inlet air temp sensor was playing up and needed to be replaced .very high temp reading with out the car even been started :O(

and after a ask about found the power fc uses a standard madza rx7 93 - blue temp sensor .N3A1-18-845 .

but after doing some more reading on a rx7 forum .

Any air temp sensors that share the same range as the FD? - RX7Club.com

there seamed to be a cheaper upgrade available from a triumph bike t1290510 :O)

at around £25 for a genuine unit rather than £85 for a genuine rx7 one

and if you read the thread in the link you will see that the triumph sensor appears works better and has the same resistance as the rx7 one .

the only thing to remember is that you also have to find a injector style connector to fit the new sensor which you will need to wire in to your old plug or wiring .

i believe the old style bike sensor was green and a newer updated black one is now on sale .

have had the new sensor on for 2 days now and its working great and appears to react quicker to temp changes ,esp cooling back down after a hard run ,

a lot of the rx7 boys seam to be swapping to these but i only changed this because i need to but any upgrade is good in my book ..

in the pic there are only 2 wires on the plug the black ones are shadows . lol

cheers guys :O)
