Due to the amount of queries as to what engine should be in which Evo, I have decided that it will be helpful for every one if I was to post up a comprehensive engine code list.
Some of you may recognise it from somewhere else, but hey, help is help no matter where it comes from right
The engine code/number is stamped on the front of the engine, on the left hand side, around half way down the block. A little tricky to see at the best of times!!!
The two letters prefixed before the number sequence determine the origin and are what matters most:
EVO I: MX, NX, PB
EVO II: OP, QV
EVO III: PP, SD
EVO III/IV: TB, TE, TF, TG, TH, TJ, TK, TL, TM, TN, TR, TS
EVO V: XG, XJ, XK, XL, XM, XN, XO, XP, XQ, XR, XS, XU
EVO VI: AA, AB, AC, AL, AN, AO, AP, AQ, YN, YR, YS, YT, YX, YY
EVO VI TME: BB, BC, BG, BJ, BK, BL, BM
EVO VII: CS, CT, CX, DA, DB, DC, DG, DK, DN, GC, GL, GN, KD
EVO VIII 260: HY (USA),JX, KL, KO, KQ
EVO VIII: HM, HP, HQ, HR, HT, JC, JD, KS
