Misfire, low revs

Hi, after a little bit of advice as only had an Evo for four days and already having sleepless nights.

First problem we think may be the BOV, as the car stalls at almost every junction/ gear change unless you crawl up to it and surprise it.

Last night, decided to have a look at it with a mate, who took the throttle position sensor off... then just put it back... should these be fitted a certain way? Adjusted? As now the car has one h*ll of a misfire at low revs to add to its list of problems and is undriveable :sad:

All i wanted was a nice car to play with :sad:

The stalling issue could well be the bov change it out as they are cheap enough, as for the misfire plugs would be my first check and go from there before you start swapping sensors unless you have a diner car to borrow bits from

The throttle position sensor has to be at a certain angle to give the correct voltage at rest. You may have just opened a can of worms trying to set it again.

as above, start by resetting the tps to 0.7v

Change the BOV for new.
Idle reset may be needed.
Should not have removed the sensor. As above, it will need reseting aswell now....

I'll try the voltage reset today, i have it somewhere near as the car will at least run again. I take it you turn ignition on, test and turn slowly till its right?

I will have to take it to a tuners in north wales for a reset, and possible map ( Unsure as car has Ralliart ECU...) as it seems to also be "pinging" under load. Also, exhaust is blowing somewhere underneath quite badly.

I havent half bought a charmer. Still smiling though
