Anybody on here know anything about them or what to look out for?
you wanna be checking top engine mounts as they crack regular like all type r models. check the state of the oil and check service history, being a high revving engine they drink oil, again like all type r's. i think drive shaft boots perish regularly.
other than that just check the normals, not sure if its timing chain or belt chain should be done at 100k intervals and belt considerably less and if that needs doing soon its a pricey job as its a bit of a mission
all else said they are great cars
+1
Gearbox synchros, check and hold in 2nd gear to make sure it doesn't jump out!! Yes, It does happen on them. I've come across a dc2 with this problem. I'm quite sure they have a chain (same as the s2000). Check for noises from teh chain tensioner 9not a cheap fix). Make sure the diff. isn't whining.
Personally, for the same money I'd have an evo any day of the week![]()
Viewed it last night nice lookin car but it was scrap resprayed badly and they guy had no reciepts for nothing took a spin outta it and they are dead!
So 6 hour drive for nothing
So I'm just gonna keep an eye out for a decent Evo 7 now but I
Not gonna rush around!
