Knocking noise evo 8 fq 330

Hey all, just joined the site and looking for some help. I have an evo 8 fq330 and when i am driving it and am above 60mph 70-80-90-100 put just cruising at the speed with my foot on the gas but not speeding up or taking my foot off just cruisin there is an ALUMINUM KNOCKING NOISE but if i speed up or ease off it goes away till i am cruising at a speed.

Any ideas what this could be??

From where? Engine? Rear of car etc etc. may help with replies :razz:

well it seems to be coming from the bottom of the engine bay, centre console area.

Have you lost power or does the car seem to pull fine?

no mate there is no lose of power she is pulling fine its only when your sitting steady at a certain speed. The thing is tho i have only just had the transfer box rebuilt and the engine was out of her for a spray job aswell so could it be as simple as there is something not been tightened properly??

Silly question - but if the ACD isn't bled, can it cause this? Just an idea.

Dnt think so if it's not bled it just doesn't work.

If there is no loss of power I would say its the box rather than engine, I would get the place to look at it who built it

Anti roll bar bushes are common on the 7 8 9 evo's just replaced mine
