A little update ...
The evo is back from its engine build so heres a little update of what went on and what i was after
The brief was a quick spooling, high revving car with high end parts that i wouldn't get bored with and Antony came back with a spec list of the engine that we both agreed would be the best way to achieve my goals .
I chose a Tim Radley built 2.2 stroker with a ND precision Turbo set up 6266 with magnus inlet and other cheeky bits such as Ohlins suspension and rear alcons to go with my front alcons, Zircotec coating on everything that got warm LOL.
A 5 speed gearbox was sourced to go with my already fitted RS diff after my spirited driving killed the rear diff the season before somewhere over the Welsh hills
We packed the car off to indigo and the build began. Ive got loads of photos to sort out and I will be posting them up as i go and I'm now putting the car together for japfest Power and style awards which is no easy task as we have to replace the wings etc as we removed a lot of the carbon to make it less stressful for Indigo to work on the car
On the dyno, the car made a very respectable 700 bhp and 586 ft/lb which I'm very happy with at the moment although I only got the car back Friday after a long day with ant, rob, ben and the boys all working way into the wee hours to get the car ready to take home , the noise it makes is IMMENSE it sounds more like a euro fighter than a car and its the scariest thing I've piloted on the test drive i almost soiled my self !
