Jap speed downpipe

Basically my Evo 6 downpipe is getting past its best, the tins are tatty and the flexi is flapping about.

There are a couple of standard downpipes for sale, which I am tempted with. However a mate has offered me a new never fitted japspeed 3" downpipe, cheap. The holes on the exhaust elbow joint don't quite line up, as I guess you need to mod or slot the holes to fit. Or just buy a new elbow to match, which I don't want to do.

Has anyone successfully modded and fitted these downpipes to the standard turbo elbow, or should I stick to a good original one?

Holes should line up if it's for a 6, usually aftermarket holes on exhausts are oversize anyway
Got a toyosport on mine which was quite a good fit and it all helps with getting them gases out!
