Is there an Evo buying guide?

Apart from the obvious things like paperwork, service history, visible condition, etc., is there a buying guide that's specific to used Evo's, particularly the Evo X?

I'm really after some model-specific stuff to look for during the walkaround and test drive.

After checking history, making sure alls in place, especially with a x as there still fairly newish if ya get me drift "should have everything to date" all services, do your visuals tyres, bodywork engine etc. obviously when test driving listen for knocks, rattles abnormal noises. Make sure a ayc is working correctly. Then if alls good you just gotta go with your gut!! Plan and simple. Evos are usually always looked after as there an enthusiast car. If your planning on buying from garage, some people contact the previous owners for piece of mind. I'm not familiar with the x but I'm sure the guys here will help with there 10 knowledge.
Good luck mate.

^ Thanks, mate.

It'll be from a Mitsubishi dealer with a one year warranty. They are buying back an Evo X they sold to someone. The present owner has bought several Evos in a row from the same dealer so they know the bloke quite well.

How can I check the AYC whilst on a test drive?

I usually do go with gut feeling. This'll be the first Japanese car i've had for over a decade if I end up buying it. I'm just hoping for the famed Japanese reliability to allay any fears!

^ That's awesome! However, the link doesn't work for me :(

Could you send it via email if I send you a PM? I'm due to go to look at the car later this afternoon.

No probs.
I've got all of the Evo technical manuals and stuff too if ever you need any.
