Hello,

I'm in the market for a used Evo X. Still not sure on a younger 300 / 330 or an older 360.
I've had a brief traul through the fourms and can't find a buying guide.
As the car is now a few years old, i'm trying find a list of things that I should be checking against to make sure I make a decent purchase.
Have there been any factory recalls for example......

I look forward to your help :)

Don't know of any recalls on the x.

I would say if the car is left standard just check that everything works and when you drive listen out for the suspect noises and make sure the power curve on boost is nice and steady.

If the cars been played with try and get recipts for the mods and find out where the work was. Completed

I would say go for the 330 and tune it up you can gain the extra to make it to 360 with a boost controller fuel pump and map which costs nothin compared to the extra on insurance and price of car

There is a buyers guide for the Evo 1-9, but not sure on the Evo 10, it's on the MLR and only available to paid members (rather silly when a noob who is wanting the guide more than anyone else is the least likely to pay £35 membership for it).

Anyway, I'm at work now, but can upload it for you when I get home. It's not specifically for the 10, but will give you a good starting point, however as said, if it's well looked after with reciepts and service history you can't go too far wrong. Just as with buying any car really, check it over thoroughly.
