Hello everyone

I am pretty new to the site and evo ownership. I own a evo vi gsr. The input shaft bearing is on its way out. I am pretty handy with the spanners and was going to remove the gearbox myself to save labour and then pay someone to remove input shaft and change the bearing.

Before people say check the tob it had a new one approx 5 weeks ago when it had a new exedy clutch.

All I want is advice for gearbox removal as not a lot on the web ?
Also does anyone know a company that will remove the box cheap enough near romford Essex ?
Has anyone had the issue before and got it repaired prices ?
I have seen the bearing for sale on eBay for £65.

Unlike some people I haven't got a lot of money which is why I am asking for advice would rather save a large wedge of the labour money.

I read a guide online that said the only tool you need is a slide hammer with a bolt welded to it for transfer box output shaft removal.

Any help would be appreciated thanks

Dan
