How reliable is the Evo VII engine?

Hi guys,

What kinda mileage is considered high for an Evo 7?

How reliable is the engine if it is looked after well with no expense spared?

I know it's a highly strung engine due to being 2.0l turbo 4 pot so will be under a bit of stress.

Any insight appreciated.

Approximately 40k and running about 1.6bar with the usual. Decat, filter, remap etc. Pushing about 360bhp... It is a member's car on here!

I'm considering buying it so was just wondering.... I haven't seen many Evos on pistonheads and autotrader etc. past about 60k miles so you can see I'm understandably concerned especially when it is such a high performance car.

I come from a Toyota which just go on and on and on with 200k miles being fairly achievable.

Thoughts?

I've had a e7 with 87k miles on the clock and was running around 330hp with no probs. I have a e5 with 119k miles and still running well

My VII engine was guide happy running 360bhp than the balance shaft belt snapped and bent 8 valves. But when we pulled it apart to forge it there was no signs of any wear and 55k

Just make sure the belts have been done or get them done anyway
