ive had all 4 calipers off for servicing and replaced all the hoses, ive bled through half a litre of fluid and locked off all bleed nipples and there is no leaks wear ive fitted new hoses...

the pedel firms up but after a little while is starts to sink about 75% of the travel the fluid level has not droped??? does the engine need to be running?? or is there some air stuck somewear??? i brought a litre of dot 5.1 shall i just keep pumping??

You really need some one with you to pump and hold the pedal down.
Follow these instructions:
Start the engine and pump the brakes a couple of times.
Switch off engine and pump around 8 times and hold the pedal down on the 9th.
Release the nipple, fluid should squirt out. Tighten the nipple and top up the fluid back to max. Then do the same procedure to the same Calliper again and then top up the fluid to max level. Then move onto the next one.

Do this twice to each calliper.

If there is air coming out at the same time as fluid you will hear it, if you do hear it twice you will need a third bleed.

Get hold of 2 .5l bottles, that way you can return one if not required.

Have you started the engine yet????

Is the turbo back on?????

If not, then do it by just turning the key until the dash lights come on, that will be sufficient.

Keep me posted.

Good luck!!!!

After the bleed out, your pedal should be firm and only go half way down max.

If the car is running now, drive forward and brake hard a couple of times, should be just right I bet!!!

P.S do it in the morning lol!!!

Well done mate, that's the problem sometimes with me and the late night/early morning posts, I usually leave a little something out!!!!

Just to add, in case a real novice is wants to follow these instructions:
The reservoir Tank is the the one that is the bottle that has a dot 4 etc marking on the cap and is located in the bulk head on the drivers side or passenger side near the windscreen depending on if the car is an Evo or non Evo.

If the Tank is on the drivers side then the furthest calliper is the one on the rear passenger side. If the Tank is on the passenger side then the furthest is the rear drivers side calliper.

A full guide on this will be available in the next couple of days. I know I stated tonight but I am waiting on a few minor details that need ironing out by our beloved Administrator NICK.

All the bad luck in the world huh!!!
You must have some weight on those shoulders buddy???

You should have rang some Jap breakers, I am sure someone must have a baby Evo or be able to get you the bits from Japan in less than a week.

Camskill usually get things right but I have noticed that they always say it WILL fit even though they don't have a clue.

Did you bleed all the callipers as per advice???

Looking at the car from engine bay; From right rear to left rear, then right front to left front, pumped eight times each time times two???

You really want to do again I think.

Did you have help buddy???
