HKS MAF adaptor

Is the MAF different on the 4,5,6 to the 7,8,9?

I only ask as I was trying to fit the MAF to the HKS adaptor and it just doesn't fit! I ended up unpopping the little flange with the bit that sticks up off. Need to get some bolts but I'm not sure it's going to seal properly

The MAf on my 6 is from an 8 so i think they are the same mate, i had no fitting issues when i mated it to my Blitz SuS filter. Maybe there is an adapter plate missing on the HKS filter?
