hi im a newbie here and one step away from owning an evo 6, only problem is the lad who is selling it thinks the engine has been changed before he owned it and hes 160 miles from me so dont wanna go all the way down there if it hasnt got the right engine in it, can someone please post a pic of where the engine number is located please, or tell me where it is, many thanks and hope to be posting more on this site if i have the car.

You won't be able to see the number if the heatshield is on! You'll need to remove this to be able to read it properly think it's 2 10-12mm bolts. Can't remember exact size but someone will be along shortly who can confirm size

Where are you based? Where's the car? If it's near one of us, I'm sure one of the members wont mind having a look for you
