Im looking for a new car and i seen a couple jdm rhd subaru sti's so i was wondering how the evos compare

I know how the new evo's compare to the new subaru sti but how about the old ones? like 1994 subaru sti vs 1995 evo 3?

also how do the evo 3's do in winter

and last question are parts hard to find for the evo 3's?

Thanks for the help

Hi Buddy.

Looking at your age have you checked for insurance on any of these cars. I was quoted 10k for an impreza at 18 yo.

Havent owned a 3 but have had 7 imprezas all different types. Go for an evo they are much much better :)

Money and Insurance is not an issue. Ive had many cars and ive saved up a decent amount. Ive had an eclipse, prelude, a4, 740il and ml500.

Okay so yall say the evo 3 is better than the sti v1

but how are the parts for the evo3 and also how do they do in winters?

I'm driving a 96 sti wagon at the moment

All I can say is buy an Evo!

Impreza are too common

Too troublesome

Too hard to work on

Overall bag of scrap

Rhd sti's are not common, not hard to work on and not scrap... They are good I just wanted to c if the evo 3's are better.

just wondering how they do in winter and if parts are hard to find on the evo 3's. I know parts are easy to get for jdm sti's

Yeah money isnt an issue but u cant justify spending 10k a year on a 3000 car :wtf:
Everyone will say the evo is better u go over to scoobynet and they will tell u the impreza is better but from experience the only good thing about impreza is the noise.
Evo 3's seem to be less common so parts are probably hard to source. As for winter it will be as good as any other 4wd without tc or ayc.

They are hard to work on

If for example ONE of the head gaskets goes

It's cheaper to buy and fit a new engine!
