Fuel cut

Hey dudes hows it goin just wondered if anyone knew what the fuel cut is set at on an evo 5's ecu??

any help appreiciated(spelling fail):razz:

its usualy about 1.2/1.3 bar of boost.

well its actualy load based cut, but generaly is 1.2/1.3bar but will alter depending on your induction setup.

A hks won't raise the boost just by fitting it. The ecu controls the boost so you have to tell it to raise the boost level.
Think what he means is with that fitted you could achieve more boost if you requested it

If you have a separate boost controller then it should only really be adjusted the same time as mapping. Yea it might feel quicker but turning it up without having the fueling done to match will seriously damage your engine

Engine need the right amount of air and fuel and at the right time in order for it to run properly. Get the mixture wrong and you'll end up than a rubbish cake.

Special tools and knowledge is needed to make sure things don't turn into a pile of mush so if it's power you want don't just turn the boost up.
Get an uprated fuel pump cos this will insure then engine gets what it asks for and get yourself booked in with someone that knows what they are doing before it's to late.

Once you've seen what these people do then youll start to understand how easy things can turn expensive
