forged engines

hi just a quick 1 if a engine is or has been forged do they knock??

Some times they do and some times they don't.
Where is the knocking coming from and what forged internals is it running???

its my m8 he said it knocks from the bottom when cold but still drives and pulls well

but no proof of it bein forged

told him that it could be the crank could that be a reason?

Does it knock once warmed up???
Does the knock get faster or louder with increase in revs???

If he is local to you then bring it down already, better prognosis in person really!!!

As I said an earlier post if you hot a problem el is your man. Currently he is pursuading me to rip all the Tarmac off my road!!! Lol

Right now I am on about your road, this time next year it will be the M1 buddy

If it goes once warmed up then I suspect it is the lifters, it is not unusual to hear of this, uprated cams can tend to cause tapping, he really should be using an ether synthetic oil instead of a semi.
