If you don't have a machine try and get yourself some dodo juice limeprime and a sponge aplicator as this will hide a lot of swirling and leave a nice finish then 2 coats of wax of choice and bobs your uncle:)

my mate has a big sealy buffer he uses to coumpound any car he takes as a trade and the paint is dead.

would this be suitable to use with my auto glym polish??

I wouldn't use compound it's to harsh, it's ok for getting overspray and flattening orange peel paint but if you get him to polish it usimg megs 205 polish which is a lot finer and more suitable:) Take a look at polished bliss website theres loads of products and loads of how to advice, and I would say they are one of theleaders in detailing:) heres the link Car Care Advice | Detailing Advice | Polished Bliss

yeah i defo dont wanna compound i feel a car is never the same again after it

i will borrow it off him what i want to ask is if i use the finer polish as you said megs 205 it wont be too sevre will it i really want to get an awsome finish on her cheers

Have a look in the machine polishing guide on detailing world that forum is the bible for ocd and detailing it is always better to use the finest possible polish as you can't replace paint as easy as taking it off:angel:
