evo8 and evo4 engine differences

just in the middle of putting the 8 engine in my 4 and can't get the 4 camcover+bracket to fit the 8 engine. should it fit? am i just being simple? also is there anything else i will be having trouble with?

just looked at new cam covers and see they are listed 4-8? so it not the covers fault then. so what has been fitted wrong as the middle metal bracket does not fit either the hole is only slightly out???

Not too sure whether it will be relevant.....

But if the 8 engine is a 260 or MR, I think they have different cams, so maybe this will affect the fitting, I couldn't say for sure though, sorry

cheers buddy. but i have since made some calls and the 4 middle/bottom metal cover does not fit the 8 due to water pump being in the way. doh!
