Has anyone bought a replacement key and had it programmed successfully?
I bought a 'replacement' and finally managed to get it cut and... nearly programmed.
The key coder said the transponder chip wasn't the right type - but was able to supply an alternative.
So I can start the car when inside.
But the main red remote part inside the key just couldn't be programmed (so can't remote open/close/boot and turn the alarm off).
Is there anything in particular to look for when finding an alternative? There seems to be lots of codes but nothing seems to match on web searchs (CMIT G8D codes etc).
(A 2008 EVO 10 if it makes a difference)
