EVO V - How to remove front numberplate

Is there a trick to it or do I really have to take the front bumper off?

The plastic bolts holding the plate on just turn so I can only assume a nut on the rear that you can't access because of the intercooler and radiator :wtf:

Sounds like the captive nut is spinning in the bumper...
I'd cut the end off the plastic bolt then drill the rest out and clean the thread
