evo exhaust smoke

Hi I have an evo 4 with 6 engine and 9 turbo. Car is fine on road but yesterday at Trl rolling road day thick white smoke bellowed out of the exhaust on over run. A small puff also came from turbo area. In the third run there was no smoke at all. It boosted well and made 340bhp. Its never done it since even on high speed 5 gear runs? I am pretty sure the oil was a litter overfull? Could this have caused it? Really doing my head in but been fine since. Thanks chris

under high load,the oil pressure regulator lets alot of oil in the cylinder head.. too much in fact..that oil goes thru the vent on the side of the vc and gets burnt in the engine.


its the reason why some have a catch tank.

Thought so much and being over full it would have poured into the inlet. If my turbo or engine was shot it wouldn't have cleared in my eyes and its clear as a whistle now ebay catch cans anygood?

Did it again last night after a hard boost from second in 5th top 6500rpm let off and out came the white blue cloud again my mate thought turbo had gone ;-) but then was totally clear again? It only seems to do it under heavy load eg dynos run or really hard motorway run

Booked in Monday at Trl Halifax for a leakdown test
