There was a company some years back that did loads of strange work on jap rockets, then they moved onto ecu's and done some mad work on them too, they were one of the first to start super chips so if you got a chip and no-one can get it to work 100% then you need to call Brodie Brittain Racing AKA BBR. Not really sure if they still exist but try a google search.

Or you can wait till my lunch break and I will get back to you right here.

Mate you will be better off with the stand alone, the 7 is not compatible with the 4, the harnesses differ.
If I remember correctly your pushing a stroker in Ireland aren't you??

You are better off with a re-map.

Have you googled the BBR??

If you want to cross over I have a top notch guy that is the best in the business.

Fill me in buddy.

Alan Jeffery IS the man.

I would sell an arm and a leg to be him right now!!!!

Specialist in all things that can't keep up with the rest.

We have had many rebuilds that have ended up with him for the final tweek.
I am taking my own engine over to him tomorrow for a re-build as I am bogged down and an Alan Jeffery job is like a Norris Design, if not better.

Car is worth more if he has a stamp on it.

Google Alan Jeffery car tuner Southampton and let the right click do the rest.

Keep me posted Kiddo.

Sorry to correct you el but alan jeffry is in Plymouth bud he is my local tuner where my evo was first tuned. I am however taking mine 300 miles away to ant at indigo Gt. He is spot on. Going off topic I was thinking of running rock oil in mine any thoughts? I also need cam belt and full oil service kit I was after a gates powergrip any ideas on cheap places for it all. Oil high oil flow filter gearbox and ayc fluid

You know what mate?
He is in Plymouth, but down saaf is all the same to me!!!

I stand corrected.

Rock Oil is good, but many applications are sub derived by vehicle manufacturers. Sure, the prospectus and praises that Rock Oil boast are genuine, but when you check their back ground and recommendations, how many touring car teams or WRC teamsters are actually running Rock Oil compared to Ester Synthetic oils??

What is the situation with the gates belt? why not go for a HKS? Gates is the number 1 in the UK but just because the trade to customer mark up is higher then HKS or the very rare GReddy that I have only ever seen on less than a handfull of cars when I was in Japan.

What sort of BHP are you running at the moment??

I will look into your shopping list and get back to you tomorrow around mid-day.
What i suggest is that you get a pure mineral based flush which comes in 5l and 2 oil filters. You will need to drain the sump and change the oil filter. Then fill up with the flush on it's own and let the car run for 10 minute or so. Then change the oil and filter once more.

Millers Semi synthetic will do you fine. Just change it every 3k and you will have some honey on the dip stick every time.
General 75w90 will do you for both your boxes and the dif.
I suggest you search ebay for a HKS belt, but I will get you a price on the gates anyway.

What colour is your AYC fluid?? Do you think it has lost consistency???

Speak to you tomorrow buddy.

I havnt done the ayc since I got the car and have done nearly 10k I was gonna go for a gates as they are about 50 quid compared to 150 for a hks I am running about 450. I want a good lasting oil as money is definatly an issue so the longer lasting the better.
If you can get me prices for what I need and I will see what I can afford I defo need the belt and new oil and filters as I am putting a new engine in due to the explosion of mine. I was gonna buy a cheap filter and cheap oil for the flush then a high flow and high quality oil to keep in like I said money is tight so I am after things on the cheap if I can. If you can get back to me with prices And who can supply it that would be ace cheers el.you are the man

Hi mate,
Sorry to get back to you so late, I know I said that it would be around lunch time, but had too much on.

I can get you:
Millers Ester Synthetic 10w60 as used by the San makkinen Team
2 X Oilfilters
Mineral Based Flush out 5l
Gates Timing Belt to dealer specification
Fuel Filter
Comes to a grand total of £129.00
My Contact informed me that this a special offer for the Easter Period.

If you needed AYC which is only if the existing fluid is a rusty colour then that will be around £4.99 per ltr and you will need 2ltrs.

I will contact a friend at parcel monkey to find out what delivery is to you but it should be no more then a tenner.

Let me know what you think either way buddy.

The emulators are great but for some reason, when the iv came out, they were hooked up but would only work for 5 minutes or so. I personally knew a guy in Kent who used to specialise in emulators, mines ecu's and re-mapping on the I, II and III. He claimed that the 8bit tech was past it's sell by date.
When the V came out, the emulators completely stopped working.

There are many applications available for the IV onwards however, it all depends on budget and if you want raw or executive power.

That's why, I have had many evo's VI's and will continue to have them in the future but I will always have my III forever!!!!

If you take time to notice, When your tearing down the road, if you look in the rear mirror you actually notice that the spoiler dips on hard acceleration, you do not get that on the V spoiler. It is made from a different grade.

Stick with what you have, the I is the origin, I have a guy in Austria that has been slowly buying the I, II, and III from the UK, he pays silly money, never haggles. He breaks a few here and there when they get shipped over. He Rallies a few that have good engines, but he always keeps the standard ones to one side in a lock up.

He told me that we are fools over here and that when they are all done and dusted, we will beg him to have them back at 10 grand a pop. I just laughed and told him to shut his Ski Suit wearing trap!!

Then I went to Japan for 3 months, they were begging me for mine!!! I got offers of £6k for my III!!!!!

I know where he is coming from.

No matter how many mods you do, always keep your standard bits, you never know when they will be needed.

Yes that's absolutely right, there are some right good mappers out there. Anti Lag is usually the first thing that gets thrown out of the window.
