evo cam id

[evo arm's m7960]

hi all just changing the cam's in my e4 and have notice that the standard ones comming out have no markings on them at all and are in mint condition .

how can you tell if they are standard e4 cams ??

any idea what the lobe hight should be in + ex ??

these are 36.35mm inlet average

and 35.90 mm exhaust avarage

is this about right ???

If you look at the last pic on my re-build thread you'll see my cams have hks stamped on them as I'm sure most would do the same

I know standard ones are un marked so would say that's what you have

hi thats what i thought ! the bc cams that are going in are stamped .

just thought the standard ones would be , as i was told when i got the car they where e6 cams fitted .
along with arp head studs and nuts 3mm lash adjusters and a hks head gasket " i found the rest to be tru just dont know about the cams .

does any one have any spec for the e4 cams , pleeeease .

Unless there 8MR cams there is very little differences from 4-8. Nothing noticeable anyway. Mitsi would only put part numbers on them. Aftermarket ones would be stamped with make.

Dont suppose you know the 8mr part number do you?

What if there was a big H and 3 dots stanped on them?

I've got 8mr cams in my 6 the mr 8 cams have a 0 stamped at the end

Evo iv cams have no numbers at all?

Evo mr cams have a 0

Aftermarket have the manufacturers name engraved

So i must have something from 5-9 or anywhere in between lol
