evo 8 turbo on evo 4 downpipe issue

Hi guys and gals,

I've upgraded the turbo on my 4, got the complete bits from evo 8. From exhaust manifold to the aftermarket 3" downpipe. After all is fitted, I know that it won't line up on my 4 cat-delete (yes read and searched beforehand).

What solutions have you guys done to mate the 8 downpipe to the 4-5-6 catback exhaust?

I'm thinking cutting the one end of a resonator and welding a 3" diameter pipe long enough to meet the flange end of downpipe?

or any other suggestions?

Cheers
Jay

or just shorten the decat pipe, I guess we'll see.

Fit the 4 elbow to the turbo and use a 4/5/6 downpipe
If you still have them.
Or did you buy all them because you still had std exhaust fitted?

got the whole lot from evo 8 from manifold to decat pipe. I don't have the 4 bits, if this proves to be more work than I'm willing to do. I'll just get the 4 bits. Thanks Rob.

If you want to keep the whole system and mate it to the 'cat back'
Then you'll have to reposition the way you have said.
I'm not sure on length differences but the flanges def won't line up. You may just have to cut it off and reweld on a different angle to match it.
