Evo 8 injectors (560cc) on Evo 4

Hi guys. Well I recently discovered the reason my car runs rich is that my injectors are too opened or as my mechanic says are "dropping". I dont know how to translate it correctly. So I was looking on ebay for injectors and I was wondering if I would face any problems if I buy evo 8 injectors. Without upgrading my ECU or nothing. Will them function the same? Anything better? Will my fuel economy would be worst than with just some OEM 510cc injectors?

If your going to fit the 560's from later car then you need to fit a 5/6 ecu to go with them

But what would happen if I just change injectors. At least for the moment. I live in south america. Kinda difficult getting ECU 5/6

Thats my doubt. Because my mechanic said that maybe my fuel economy would not be the best but the ECU would keep sending the same amount of fuel as of the 510cc. So according to him it wouldnt overfuel. Anybody has tested this?

exactly, you will require a 5/6 ecu so i would wait until you get a ecu before changing the injectors

Is the only one I've found. What I just dont want is to swap injectos and keep running rich (big cloud of black smoke when turbo kicks in) I just want it to be as it was before. Barely smoking. Like the normal black smoke. Without changing the ECU yet.

I mean at my city altitude 4000m2 I charge 1.2bar how much would I charge if I change the ecu to a one of E5? I believe it has to be remapped and I dont know if anybody here knows how to do that job

map it yourself, and if an ecu is in a plastic case its mappable, so yes thats ok

How do u map it? Still my main question is if I'm going to face issues installing 560cc injectors with my Evo4 ECU. Will I run rich? o ECU will be still sending same amount of fuel as 510cc and will have no problems?

Most e4 owners have the 5/6 ecu & 560cc injectors from e5-9 models

Loads of cheap e4 injector sets on ebay or even in sale section on here as not worth much or popular

It will over fuel if you keep the e4 ecu and use 560 injectors end of, if you haven't bought the injectors yet, why not buy the ecu first and then change injector settings to run 510 instead

Ok. Because my main problem was that my injectors are bad (too open and spilling to much fuel, thats why I run rich) Thats why I started looking for 510cc injectors and I just found 3 on ebay from $120 to $200 and I saw 560cc injectors for $150 and I though them should be better as them were from an evo 8. Thats where my doubt arose.

So If I get that e5 ecu and get the 560cc and just fit them would I gain any hp? about how much? Do I need to remap it necesarily? How do I do that? Sorry I'm a newbie.

have you had them tested? you ideally should get it mapped but with the right equipment you could map it yourself
