evo 8 fq330 tuning!

i have just bought an evo 8 fq330 it is more or less standard apart from the exhaust,can anyone recommend a good reliable tuning company which can remap my car live and set up the avcr boost controller at the same time?maybe someone can suggest some other worthwhile mods without spending thousands.

A decat
Induction kit
Run Cold Plugs
Lead tablets
Forge recirculating valve
Walbro fuel pump
Maybe a FPR

All of this should cost you no more than £400.

I suggest that you deal with this list before a tune up as they will only push out maybe what is stock or a max of 10 more horses on a standard spec.

You should also get a couple of high octane shots in your tank on the day of the dyno, always helps to ensure a decent plot.

hi mate its had a de-cat nd its got an induction kit.would the forge dump valve replace the original plastic one?what is an fpr?im in north wales so anyone fairly close would be very handy

Yes buddy the standard plastic one will have to do one!!
The forge recirculator is almost 3 times the capacity.

FPR is fuel pressure regulator, helps to ensure that the car is getting the correct amount of fueling.

I do not know of any one in Wales, all the top guys are d own south, I will look into to it over this week end for you though.

I can get you a used recirculator at a good price. Let me know if you are interested.

interpro automotive in bristol, closest to Wales and the only tuner i have ever used.
They tuned my RS Turbo and got more power than i wanted, they did everything to make sure my engine was capable of. i got 190BHP and its bloody quick and it feels quicker than my evo IV

They were one of the best in the Ford RS scene but mainly do the Jap stuff now.

I would go for Marks suggestion.
They are not out of your way and I have heard of them in passing, just call them up before hand and find out what recommendations they suggest to have done before the dyno tune such as uprated pump and FPR.

Things like the recirculating valve are a must, regardless of the fuelling required.
