evo 8 ACD 3 lights

my dad has an evo 8 and everytime he drives it the 3 ACD lights come on, i know this could be a number of things but it only happens when the weather is warmer (it didnt happen through the cold winter) and also if it is started and left idling it still comes on, so does this rule out wheel and steering sensors??
any help would be appreciated im buying it in a few months so want him to get it sorted.

get the ayc pump looked at mate, or maybe check fault code`s?

put a short bit of wire between pins 1 and 4 on the diagnostics port then switch on the ignition. the acd light will flash the fault code, long flashes are 10's and short ones are units.

example, 3 long flashes and 2 short ones means code 32.

then let us know the fault code

However I'd say it was the AYC fluid getting thin with the heat even on idle. So therefore losing pressure and giving you the warning. Or the heat maybe affecting the wiring connection to the pressure switch.
The AYC pump can be removed and rebuilt by Harry Hockly (google it)

hi, thanks for your advice!
i checked the code and i was getting 82, so we tried to bleed it through first before buying a new pump but that wouldnt work so my dad bought a pump off a breaker.
ive just finnished fitting it, turned the ignition on to try and bleed it but instantly we get code 45 (pressure sensor circuit) any idea what this could be? ive noticed that the oil level in the resevoir is still slowly draining could it be that the system isnt full of oil yet?

Keep bleeding the system. What method are you using to bleed it ??

We've been trying holding the accelerator down when turning the ignition on with one of the bleed nipples open but the pump wont run atall, it comes up 45 instantly, is it because its airlocked?

my dad took it up to mitsubishi yesterday and they found that the pressure switch on the pump we bought was faulty, so they changed it and bled it through. But now if the car is in full lock going slowly the back wheels lock, apparently he needs a new diff now :-o

my dad got the diff changed but one of the solenoid on the pump he bought was seized and snapped off so had to get the solenoids out of the working pump and use the solenoid from the old pump, fitted it all back together today but it will not bleed, the pump will run for 30 seconds but nothing comes out of the bleed nipples.
are the two bigger solenoids (with the + symbol on top) any different from each other or are they exactly the same, i wondering if i may have mixed them up??
any help would be appreciated.
