I am interested in an Evo 4 which has an engine that has had some block parts replaced after crankwalk started to come into play. Apparently the crank has been replaced by an Evo 6 crank and rods and pistons by parts from an Evo 9. I can't find wether this is a good solution or not so I hope someone can shine a light onto this. Is this a good solution? Does this solve the crankwalk problem for good?

it would need the block changing or modified bearings to solve the problem they can get with crank walk.

Ok so:
1. It is possible to use evo 6 crank and 9 pistons/rods in a 4 block
2. Wether the crankwalk problem has been solved depends on modified bearings (what's modified?) or chaning the block (what changes?)

Hi i don't know the answer about the 9 pistons, you can use a evo 6 crank in a evo 4 block if you wanted to.

2. The thing that would need changing is the whole block, evo 5 up to solve the chance of crank walk.

Shit....then I think I will skip this 4. Don't want to run the risk of a repair that will cost me thousands of euro's.
