Basically how it was done is the battery box is bolted to the boot floor with 4 M6 rivet nut insert's wrapped in silcone,The earth from the battery is bolted to the boot floor at the back of the seat's the same way as the battery box.

The live cable is run from the original relay box that sit's on top of the battery with the cable running through the passenger footwell bulkhead and under the sill carpet trim cover's to the battery box.

The relay/fuse b that sat on top of the battery in it's original position now sit's under the Induction filter cover plate (never never man one) and is fit's nice and snug,I have fitted it upside down and cover all exposed terminal's with Black Silicone so no water or moisture can get in!

Total time of this conversion was an hour:razz:

any pics wit carpet out ? and any of the fuse box terminal that was on top the original battery ?

also do you have a vent pipe for vapors out the battery ?

Not too sure tbh as i had a few other bit's done at the same time when the car was up at CPP:whistling:Think was somewhere around £200 with battery,cables etc!

nice box but i wouldnt have mounted it there for 2 reasons, first it takes up the middle of the boot and second if you need access its a pig in the middle i.e jump leads etc oh just my opinion this:whistling:

Indeed, and as it spend alot of time parked in my garage it just goes flat.
No electric in there so no option but to opt for a slightly bigger battery in the boot also with a jump point in the bay just in case

The reason i have fitted in the middle at the back is to give me a bit of weight above the Diff since it's a little lively having the RS Diff conversion:whistling:

I have a connector tucked away at the back for plugging jump lead's into as i have the Anderson connector's mounted on all 3 of the Defender's we have front and rear:razz:
