hey pals!!,
im having this very funny problem in my 5. A couple of weeks back i installed a complete turbo-back exhaust system 3.5" from jperformance. the car had no issues till i fiited the exhaust. but as soon as i drive out of the garage the car has a sudden loss of power/fuel cut/miss whatevr you could call at around 4000rpm-5500rpm aftr dt ts ok again, taking it back to the garage trying different things we decided to reduce spark plug gap to 0.50 and the missfire went.
but after a week the same thing has occured but re-gapping plugs doesnt help!!!
plz advise!

is it anything 2 do wid exhaust backpressure?? or weak spark:disgusted:

have you been to a garage and checked your o2 . you might have damaged the sensor or put your car out of tune meaning a remap :O( possably

Is it happening as you come on boost, or at a certain boost pressure? Could be the cut.

a friend had a supra 3.0 tt and it was a common problem when fitting a full turbo back system that they would over boost unless you fitted a restrictor in the front pipe or tuned to except the mod as they would hit boost cut .

best to speak to jperformance and see what they say :O)

i'd say its over boosting now that the after turbo restrictions have gone it can breathe alot easier and spool quicker, the only thing to do really is get it mapped to sort the issue out, at least then you'll know its all safe also on the fueling, where are you based, its something we can do

boost cut is happening
I'm betting your only hitting around 1.2-1.3 bar boost pressure
your in need of a remap for fitting the better exhaust
