evo 456 diff

hi, im new to the forum and wanted to know if evo 456 diff are direct replacements or if the transfercase is needed? searched but couldnt find any answer need some advise as i blew the diff in my evo 4 :sad: thanks

From the limited knowledge I have I am fairly confident their the same and it's the RS models that aren't!! I say Q the geeks!!

Blown the rear diff?
Straight swap for another 4/5/6. Like for like.
Transfer box is seperate.

All same as I have an 8 rear diff on my 5. Just as said above only rs is different etc
