hi there,cud do with alitle advice please.
looking to buy an evo 4 in a month wen funds r sortd.bin told alot of good things and some bad things,could some1 advise me wot 2 look 4 and wot in genral 2 avoid love 2 own 1 jst dnt want a money pit.looking 2 spend around 3500 thanx

i was asking if the engine is original or not ?? this is crutial to wether i advise you to bin it or not and also how to advise you on what to check for

I give up alright. Was just asking what the car was like so I could give him the right advice. Ie, if it a IV then be aware of crank walk. If the engine has been changed then we can go straight into other stuff to check.

It s hard for someone to give you advice when they can't understand what your saying!

Don't personally see what is wrong with a bit of txt speak, I have been told off in the past for using it and over time adjusted.

I understood what he said, for example my sister is dyslexic and can't type unless it's txt speak.


Buddy when you see a car you like pop the link up and we have a lil look at it and see what we think

the most common fault with a e4 is crank walk ie not anouth oil getting around the crank causing it to move i just bought a e4 low millage not messed with keep looking and buy the best you can but if its a 4 you wont and you wont to play with it go for a 4 with 5/6 engine hope thiss helps

If its a 4 you have your heart set on, then try find one with a 5 or 6 engine fitted and maybe a brembo brake setup too

Also check for rust and check the ayc Is workin properly

As said a 4 with 5/6 engine would be best. Or one thats been well looked after. Ayc light should come on with ignition, then go out and stay out after a few seconds.
