Evo 4 - Trouble with Bailey Dump Valve

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this - So I hope this works - I've got an evo 4 and i bought a bailey dump valve off of ebay (used, but in good condition), I've installed it in place of the standard one, blocked off the part that goes back to the turbo with a bung.

Once i had completed this, the car runs perfects when not boosting and idling, however when the boost comes on, the car performs fine, the valve dumps the boost well and makes a great noise. But then the engine stalls if i keep my foot on the clutch. Obviously if I change gear the engine doesn't stall, but this shouldn't do this, should it? Its standard, apart from a cat back exhaust and hks air filter.

Any idea's??

can you strip the valve? you need to put more tension on the spring.


or change it for a quality valve....idealy a recirc.
