Hi people! New here, just inherited my second Evo 4 (should never have sold the first one). Few niggly issues I’m dealing with before I make the major changes, but one is causing more grief that others.
The car has a very light EASY flywheel so struggles on low revs. However then the heating is turned on, it noticeably pulls power from the engine and revs drop on idle. Pretty normal for older cars to suffer from alternator drag/failure as they age, but before I go tearing out the old one, is there anything else these engines are known for?
With headlights on, it doesn’t seem to dip the revs noticeably. Only heating!
