evo 4 dash lights flicker

Hi all got a bit of an irritating problem, the lights for the speedo, rev counter and fuel gauge flicker when on, just randomly flicker off and on any ideas were to check first?

Also my intermittent wipers and jets arent working but think i can sort that after a search on here, but are the two faults linked?

Radio and all other lights work ok though.
